Finally got to listen to Off the Record from Baruch Levine.

Does anyone else find that there is no cohesiveness from song to song? these mixes usually have a flow, but this record is just bunch of mini songs, with one song nothing to do with the other...

I mean I like each track individually. But doesnt seem to work all together
Agreed.

putting together songs with a common theme between them doesn't necessarily mean they sound good together

It's also available on Apple podcasts and other podcast sites.

Welcome to the times of Trump, when transitions are usually bumpy.

Anyone else find it interesting that Rechnitz advertised his new album weeks ago and it still is not available to purchase?
The sampler of Rechnitz's album is out.

First thing that struck me is that MBD is not on the album, an interesting first.

What’s your dream CD? If you were a producer, what collaboration would you love to see?

Here are mine:
•   The best of Journeys translated into Hebrew, sung by Abie Rotenberg and guest vocalists.

•   A collection of old Avraham Fried songs sung again by Avraham Fried. His voice got so much greater over the years that it would be a whole new experience relistening to old Fried song with the new Fried voice.
all deveikus albums  rearranged  and re-recorded

Finally Yaakov Shwekey was able to be on it. I think the hold up was when his producer was Yochi Briskman.

Interestingly, now he always works closely with Yitzy Waldner. And I noticed that the song he sings on this album contains "special production by Yitzy Waldner."

Small people talk about other people.
Average people talk about things
BIG PEOPLE TALK ABOUT IDEAS.

Absolutely stunning.

BTW, Doni himself is a Darchei alum.

One point, though, let me know if you agree. Shut the sound and make believe "Memories" is playing. The dark optics with the flickering candles would make that song haunting in such a setting...

And I guess Rivie Schwebel had/has grandkids there? Don't think he was a soloist on the original. And to think they had Yossi Sonnenblick a stone's throw away (though I doubt his grandkids are in YDT). Insane that the choir is just from 1 grade, but I guess that's feasible in a place like YDT.

Looks like he's singing with his son, Avrumi.
Rivie did sing it on this cover together with his son Eli.

Can we get some IDs on the performers? I see Shloimy Kaufman and what I assume is his son (Nachi?). I recognize some other faces, but can't place them...
