Funny story.

My friend was driving down Route 9 in Lakewood and he stopped to pick up a bochur who was hitching. As the bochur sat in his car, he was intrigued by the music playing - Journeys Volume 2, and he asked my friend what album it is and where he can buy it. My friend responded, "You've really never heard the Journeys albums?!" and the bochur admitted that he has never heard them, but he really likes them.

My friend immediately pulled off into Judaica Plaza's parking lot, and sponsored all four albums for the bochur!

BTW, on that note (tone-deaf pun intended), Abie is working on Journeys Volume 5!

This is not a funny story, it's a miracle story. The bochur asked where he can *buy* the album? Then they stopped at a store that actually stocked all four albums which are decades old. If they stocked them, that means they were CDs and not digital downloads. How did the bochur know what they were? And though it isn't mentioned in the story, we can assume the bochur accepted the gift because he was able to play said albums. How?

The bochur asked where he can *buy* the album? Everyone respects Abie's albums so much that they would never contemplate uploading them for others to steal.

Then they stopped at a store that actually stocked all four albums which are decades old. Which self-respecting store doesn't stock Abie albums???

If they stocked them, that means they were CDs and not digital downloads. See above.

How did the bochur know what they were? He was so enthralled by the Abie music he heard that nothing else was processing in his brain.

And though it isn't mentioned in the story, we can assume the bochur accepted the gift because he was able to play said albums. How? See above.

Meh. At this point in his career, it'll sell because of nostalgia, not merit. (I say this as a huge Abie fan, but the last 15-20 years don't have my hopes up.)

So nothing else was processing in his brain and .... that turned his brain into a CD player?

Abie's 10 percent capacity is a thousand times better than the second-best person in the music industry.

Aish 3 is a great album.
MMM 4 is weird, but has some good songs.

Basically:
Abie's 10 percent capacity is a thousand times better than the second-best person in the music industry.

Agreed. I think a remake of some of his older songs would be amazing. I didn't really care for journey's 4

Journeys 4 was arguably the best album of the last 20 years. IMO Obviously, not as great as volumes 1, 2, and 3.

I'm comparing it to 1, 2, and 3, not everything else out there.

No you didn't  :)
In your own words "I didn't really care for journey's 4"

I loved journeys 4, The man from Vilna itself makes the whole album worth it!

Agreed. I really like LT and Eli Schwebel, but they somehow didn't really "fit" on the album.

I'm not an expert on jewish music, but if that's the case, it's a very poor reflection on the rest of the industry.

For starters, on an album that's supposed to be original, 20%  a number of songs are old, that were previously published on other albums (and those versions were better, IMO).
