Online they are only accepting applications for Ocean County, Monmouth County, Middlesex County, and Mercer County. All residents of NJ can likely apply in-branch even if you don’t live in those counties.

IIRC the article by doc unthread says any amount is fine.

That's were I read but asked 3 reps and they all said it has to be over $2 so not sure who to trust

I asked 2 reps. First said there is a $2 minimum. The second said that was a previous offer, and the minimum doesn't apply anymore. DOC also said limit doesn't apply anymore. Furthermore, the material they sent in the mail had no mention of any minimum. My money is on no minimum

Ok hope so . Also if your buying Amazon gift cards for the 30 transactions make sure your running it as a signature purchase because Amazon counts all debit card purchases as pin enabled even though your not entering a pin, which doesn't count for the 30 transactions

How do you force it as a signature (non-pin) purchase?

On Amazon.com go to manage my payments and by your ocean first debit card there will be a box with a check that says process as debit card , uncheck the box . Not sure if really matters but I guess be on safe side

Thank you. According to the rep I spoke to, it needs to be processed as credit, so it does matter.

I did not uncheck it, but I called and was told that it went through as credit (not debit), so it qualifies. How do you explain that?
