Which of the higher yield big bank savings accounts use zelle? Amex and cap one don't.
MYBANKINGDIRECT/flagstar - Cap1 you can open a checking..
Honestly Zelle is pretty annoying as you can only link your phone number/email to one bank account - before zelle came around banks had their own transfer methods which didn't mess with having to have multiple email addresses and phone numbers etc.

Maybe will try cap 1 checking for zelle and savings for interest if checking is free.
Not sure why you don't like zelle, if you want to send money easy to a friend, routing numbers and accounts or writing a check is  more complicated.

Problem with Zelle - every other bank uses it for transferring to other people - I can only link my phone / email address to one bank account. I have multiple banks its a huge pain if I want every bank to have access to transferring money to people.. using multiple email also gets complicated cause it has to match your email address for the bank I am not interested in every bank having a different email address..

I put 10k in to I bonds a few years ago, it's now up to 11,396

If I cash out just 10k, not the full balance, will I get a 1099?

From TD website: Any amount of $25 or more to the penny. If you cash only part of what a bond is worth, you must leave at least $25 in your account. If you cash only part of what a bond is worth, you get the interest only on the part you cash.
Only on DDF does 24/6 mean 24/5/half/half

so you're saying I won't even have the option to cash out just 10k and leave in the $1396?

The way I read it is if you cash out 10k then part will be principal and part will be interest. I could be reading it wrong.

CIT, but with a very low transaction and daily limit. I think it is ~$750 per transaction and ~$1500 per day.

And is Marcus a wise move to transfer my money from Ally? I have had good experience with Ally. Is it advisable to stay with Ally?

thanks.

been there for about a year - The few times I had questions they answered their phones pretty quick - their transfers take a bit of time 3/4 days they have a 200k monthly transfer out limit and a 50k daily
