Think I have it figured out. Invvestment rate is the APY, not the same as APR.
Formula I am using is returning the APR.

APY is higher. My formula is calculating the APR which is lower.
Current IR/APY for 26 week is 5.9
My formula is the lower APR at 5.75
Think I have that right.

When you redeem I-bonds you want to keep them for the last three months at the lower interest? Those will be the three months interest you forfeit?

Yes. I'm planning on redeeming the one I bought in Dec 2021 today.

Eta just went to redeem and I'm able to redeem partial. Thought that was interesting.

When the bond is registered as ABC with XYZ and XYZ redeems the bond, will it be under XYZ's SS#?
The treasury website uses the term "or" for registration. It states if it is registered as "or" then person redeeming it will be charged the interest under their SS#.

Is "with" and "or" the same for this purpose?

No clue if it's worthwhile but the first thing to check is the fees they charge.
