Whats there to do in the hamptons? People who've been there, can you add to wiki?
On tapatalk and all I know of is the west Hampton bakery.

I am going to be in the Hamptons next week. Any advice? I know where there is a minyan. Is there anywhere you can get kosher food? Where is the party at where i can't miss?

The only place to eat is the bakery. Has a hechsher but look into it first. The beach is beautiful and im sure you can find an empty stretch.
Where in the hamptons will you be?

Weekday. Is there a Broadwalk and some arcades a place to hang out at night? Like a seaside Heights in NJ

Chabad might have minyanim. Its 1/2 hour away thou. Dont know if theres a boardwalk. There's is none on the sagaponak beach.
One Carvel also might be kosher. The hamptons where designed to keep away tourists so there is not much public entertainment like arcades.

I think the 5000 dollar rent a night for a house keeps most people away.

Have you ever been to Shutter island? Is it something worth seeing?

Never ben there. I usualy go up just for shabbos so I dont have much time to go anywhere like a tourist.
Yes, it prices people out

. Since I dont own a house there I dont really know everything thats there. I just relax most of the time. Its beautiful out there! And traffic within the main parts where there are stores gets really bad sometimes.

thanks for the info but the fact that the thread is this small is interesting. The end of Long island has some cool places Hamptons, Montauk, Shelter island and the likes.

. Thread is relatively new and I created it. There are not many religious people the at all. I happen to know someone there so thats why I go. But usually the way it works is people make dinners partys bbqs and get together and hang out. So you really need to be with someone who lives there to find places to go and things to do.

There's a Daily Minyan at the Hampton Synagogue in Westhampton Beach.

I'm actually in WH now.... it's a lovely place.

Is there a minyin of religious jews. I went in the beginning of spring and there wasnt.

What do you mean by religious jews? There are so many levels..... Hampton Synagogue is Modern Orthodox

There are some Jewish families and minyanim in SouthHampton too.

2 minyanim on shabbos at 2 different peoples mansions. One of them needs to bring in people for the minyon. I daven at rennert.

And there is chabad, but I dont really know if thats southhampton

Id say a level below modox. Most people are irreligious but there are some modox or in between. I know a few people who are upper modox and rent out because they dont like the shul.
And a shabbos mike?! Is that even modox?
