And there is chabad, but I dont really know if thats southhampton
There's Chabad in West Hampton, South Hampton, watermill and east Hampton.

Watermill is summer only. I believe the rest are year-long, I know for certain east is.

Id say a level below modox. Most people are irreligious but there are some modox or in between. I know a few people who are upper modox and rent out because they dont like the shul.
And a shabbos mike?! Is that even modox?

Shabbos Mike works without electric. ..

Yes, 50 percent of shul are not Shomer Shabbos. However, they all come to shul  and spend there most of the day. If not for this Shul they'd be at the beach bbq etc. Also, this Shul has a daily Minyan Sharchris Mincha Maariv. ..

I'm Orthodox - but I give them credit and hopefully one day they will become even closer to Hashem.

Not arguing with that.
I guess they need to craft the shul to fit to those who wouldn't come if they didnt.
I'm not who you think I am.

I guess anybody that can afford the Hamptons is not on DDF  :(   thanks for the info but the fact that the thread is this small is interesting. The end of Long island has some cool places Hamptons, Montauk, Shelter island and the likes.

Yes, Montauk is awesome! I've been going every year since I was a kid. More of a laid-back vibe. I really love the Hither Hills campground if you want to "rough it" on the beach.

A Chabad House opened this past summer in Montauk

I agree with Arianna that Montauk is very chill and has a nice community feel.  Though it seems to be attracting more and more 18-24 crowd hitting the bars and overrunning certain areas on the weekends.

My wife and I go out for a few weeks every year.  We are not big beach goers but do enjoy walking through towns and sitting at an outdoor cafe and people watching. Our favorites for that are Sag Harbor (nice town, less sleepy than it used to be but still my fave), East Hampton (largest town, more upscale, mobbed on the weekends) and Montauk.
