Israel Hotels with Points

how come that in Jordan, Egypt etc there are tons of beautiful brand name hotels, and in Israel its basically all garbage  Fattel and Rimonoim hotels...

It seems that the hotels do well enough w/o needing to pay a kickback to be part of a chain.

well now with the new Ritz, Waldorf Astoria and the upcoming W, hopefully it will raise the standards of the hotels in Israel
