Jetblue ticket prices
« on: June 01, 2015, 10:39:59 PM »
Could not find anything on this in the forums. When booking a family on Jetblue, does Jetblue average the price when there are more passengers than available seats at a price point or do they just bump the entire reservation to the next price level? For example, if they have 4 seats at 144 and you need 5, does it make more sense to book the four in one booking and then separately book the 5th or will you have the same total if you book all 5 together? Thanks in advance!

I believe so. All airlines do that.

IINM the airline would book all the seats at the higher fare class.

Had that with Delta a few weeks ago with 2 tickets and I had to pay for each one separately to get one ticket at the lower fare class.

So for your case you would probably need to book the 4 seats then the 1.
