Just booked InterContinental Times Square using the old IHG Select certificate that's capped at 40K for end of August.  Rooms had been pricing at 41K and flipped to 39K yesterday!  Lowest all-in cash price at time of booking was $354.  I really needed this to guarantee 4PM checkout via Ambassador status before a late flight out of JFK, so happy it worked out.  Great return on the card's $49 annual fee!

Besides the cool design of the suite, you also get by virtue of being in the suite (assuming booking for 2 adults / 2 children): 4 Premium Orchestra tickets to Aladdin, free valet parking, free breakfast, Aladdin-themed kids amenities in the room, 2 Aladdin-themed welcome cocktails, 2 Aladdin-themed welcome mocktails (for the kids), and a free goodie bag of Aladdin merchandise when you go to the show.  And of course all regular Diamond benefits (assuming most here have Diamond).

There is only one of these in the entire hotel, so it is easy to check if it was booked before or after your stay (to gauge whether or not you can get early check-in/late checkout).

A unique NYC experience in my book :-)
