I dont know him, nor his seforim, just saw the pashkevilim.
However, I know two rabbanim who "got off lucky" - they didnt have public pashkevilim against them, (unless I missed them or were before I was aware of such things) just were harassed and abused and hauled to answer to every single one of the gedolim and gedolie haposkim on what they wrote in their sforim and/or said in shiurim... and were more or less backed in the end by the gedolim... but the visible agmas nefesh they have to this day over the episodes...
