replacing out of warranty phone with att
« on: January 21, 2011, 04:50:29 AM »
Sprint even if the phone is out of warranty they charge 35 dollars for a refurbished replacement phone of the same model (or so they told me on the phone) does anyone know if at&t does the same or what they charge to replace a defected phone that's after warranty?

This is correct for Sprint as long as there's no water damage and the phone isn't completely destroyed.

So does at&t have the same thing?
And would it work if I no longer have at&t? (If need be I can activate a at&t sim on this phone than do the replacement and reactivate the sim to the other phone)

It's got nothing to do with the iPhone, it's just the ability to trade in a phone (from any carrier), I bet the trade in values will suck.

AT&T had announced some other stuff for the 23rd which were (probably) related to the iPhone launching on Verizon.

Would I still be able to do it without service on at&t?
And if not if I activate a friends sim card on my phone would that help?
