is amex plat worth it if i have rewards gold!

i got both the amex platinum and rewards gold for the points and i was wondering if its worth me keeping the platinum because i am keeping the gold card also
i do know that:
 i get up to $200 in airline fees
 a canceled plat still works for lounges

 What else can i tell my parents that will justify me paying 450/yr?

It still works for lounges...unless you travel often and want to use priority pass you should probably just cancel it...

The PRG is actually a better points earning card because of the categorized bonuses. The plat is only worth it if you travel very often and will benefit from all the insurances and no forex fee.
