I don't understand why he reset it. Dan clearly said that standby list would be based on post count. Wasn't signing up for the DO first come first serve???

Because this time Dan didn't say the meeting would be by post count rather by order of signup and standby would be by post count

Why does every DO have to end up in some argument?

IMO as an outsider of this DO, I think if a DO is going to publicly advertised, there should not be any exemptions in regards to, whom is not invited. If one feels that he doesn't want to join such a large DO, or a mixed one, or there is to many n00bs going, he can simply not join.

However if Dan or whoever wants to make a private DO, with whatever stipulations which they want. I think the proper way would be via inviting through PM.

Like this we can avoid any hard feelings.
