I just went to my first DO, although I wasn't that involved I still found it as a great experience. It's completely different when you have faces behind the handles. (its not like you're dealing with hitmen)

why that's the best part! You make new friends with unlikely people. And this isn't just the internet its ddf. The vast majority are frum erlich yiden who are great honest people and I'd trust them with most anything. So meeting in person is totally normal, its not the same as meeting random people online, and actually really great IMHO based on excperiance.

For any of you City folks- I wouldn't mind hosting a DO at my place. Its a small manhattan apt but we can comfortably fit 6-10 guys. If the weathers good we can even have a couple beers on the roof top deck overlooking the city...
I have to check if i have school, but if not i can drive (either my hunka-junk or I can rent I have a buncha free days) and i would love to give you a ride
