I currently use Mozy for online backup (about 110 GB worth of stuff), and my two year subscription is coming to an end. Before I renew, does anyone know if there are better options out there?
Someone mentioned SugarSync to me, which seems to have more capabilities, and is slightly more expensive.
Would like to hear anyone's experience with SugarSync, or other online backup users.

Yes I did read through the thread.
To be more specific with my question, I want to know if anyone found another online service to be better than Mozy, and for what reasons.
The previous comments in this thread are not making any comparisons against Mozy,.

AFAIK it can back up any type of file. You just have to manually add certain ones.

Currently using Carbonite and very happy with them.

Me to, but I had to restore a file today (ironic, last time that happened was maybe a year ago) and it told me that Carbonite couldn't verify if the file was restored properly. It was a database, so I'm not 100% sure, but it seemed pretty good.

I use it at work and I have hundreds of gigs backed up and it cost my boss only ~$40/year (3yr membership), it also does (some) versioning, which is also great.

I use BackBlaze. $5 a month. Backs up the entire hard drive. Everything. Hourly.
I have used it when I lost files, and it was great. Multiple people in my section lost their info last year, but I was golden.

Best Online Backup
« Reply #48 on: July 26, 2012, 05:46:40 PM »
So Clients always ask me (after they lose all their data - and until I recover it, because obviouslyu once they data is recovered they dont have to worry about losing it again.... until next time)  what is the best online backup. The options are literally endless - hundreds of companies, some offer free backup, some "unlimited backup", some are fast in backing up back takes weeks to restore - while others claim they backed up the data and when you need it back most of it is corrupt.
I'm starting this thread to hear personal experiences about dif online backup options, what worked for you and what did you swear never to use again.
Lets Hear it:

I use a Raid 1 NAS as my primary backup.

I have a secondary Online backup - I use Dreamhost, I have an Unlimited space, I pay $2 a month.
Basically its an FTP. I use an app called Net Drive, that lets me create this FTP and have it as a virtual drive running in a Windows environment.

Do you use it as part of your webhosting or just online backup?

Together.

But if you want an online backup, this could be a cheap solution.

I have with I think A-Drive 50GB free, but they all are a pain, and a lot of them have heavy windows apps that slow down computers...

All my documents are in dropbox.
Pictures and video are currently on a RAID1 NAS.
I intend to backup all my pictures to Flickr, but I haven't found anything for video yet.
Any ideas?

What company nas do you use? BTW Raid 1 is a better decision on a nas than Raid 5 - even though raid 5 sounds better

Backblaze.com is unlimited for $3.96 a month but it cannot backup network drives, it can only do drives physicly connected via sata or usb.

It is all from Hashem and he will continue to give!
