I want to mention for windows you can create a system image which basically takes a complete image of the OS and everything on it, not just files like file history saves. In case anything goes wrong the system image returns everything exactly to the state it was in.
Only drawback is you can’t restore partial- it’ll restore it in one piece as it saved so it can be recommended to create a system image each night to replace the previous backup.
Also this backup would need more storage to hold the OS (at least 40-50 gb) but not a ton if you’ll replace the image each night

This will also include any potential malware that may be the root cause of any problem.

Why did the mods merge the photo backup thread with this one, that was specific for photos and videos not for everything. Is there a way to separate it back in to two threads

How does iDrive compare to Backblaze?
idrive's pricing is much better if you want to back up multiple computers. We use it at work. It sometimes has issues backing up a file or a few, usually because they are opened. I can't say if backblaze has those issues because I haven't gotten notified about them, idrive emails you with issues.

iDrive's UI is more powerful and I think it gives you more granular control over what backs up and when. You can schedule backups and also set it to backup automatically whenever a file is changed, but that part doesn't seem to work as quickly as backblaze.
Workflowy. You won't know what you're missing until you try it.

Same idea as this

That's not correct, Dropbox stores my files for 180 days after deletion. Though after messaging @Euclid I will likely sign up to another service as a secondary backup to be safe.

I think undergoing a complete loss of files can be a profound lesson about what it looks like to show up on the next world, with so much that we worked for completely lost and useless.

Sorry, just a random thought that struck me.

How secure is backblaze? What happens if someone hacks their server then all your date is on the dark web?

You can encrypt it

One drive is not backup. It will get deleted as soon as it is deleted on the computer
I need it primarily for my Phone with the storage. Not the Computer.
Don't see why it would back up properly?

For that amount why not find a few family members or some friends here , and sign up for the Main site deal of $50 for the office subscription.

I can use the majority of that amount at times. The main reason I use OneDrive is because I work on a number of different computers, and I want my work to sync to all computers after I do work on any of them. I also have a full license for Office, so I don't need any other features of Office365.
