DW is always asking what we want for dinner. It seems harder and harder to come up with new ideas.

Completely relate

Every Sunday DW shares a google spreadsheet with me and the kids. It contains a list of mains, sides, veg, etc.

We each select a combination and enter our choice into the spreadsheet. That becomes the menu for the week and we all help with the food prep each evening.

However, I use my creative and productive time on work related matters.

So cut the healthy eating garbage. It has nothing to do with that. It is because you have no interest in variety.

Why: I am not willing to put in the effort
What:
Breakfast: Tea with Honey
Lunch: 1/4 cup rice, 3 eggs (3 white, 1 yolk), 4 white corn tortillas
Dinner: 2 chicken breast tenders, about 10 green beans, 1 large white sweet potatoes, cubed.
Desert: 1 dozen gluten free chocolate chip cookies
Occasional snacks but that about it..

So you do have interest in variety, but this that you eat healthy and this that you eat without variety have nothing to do with each other except maybe that is why you don't eat from the food you cook at work.
