PUTPAC rarely works with questions like these.
Save your time, I don't answer PM. Post it in the forum and a dedicated DDF'er will get back to you as soon as possible.

I got an offer saying I was pre-approved for the Citi AA amex. It's basically an add on to my existing Citi visa. It's been mentioned here before, and I was wondering, will accepting it mean a hard pull?
Even though it isn't a new line of credit? Basically they offered me an amex as an add on to my visa whereas using the amex will get me 1.2 miles. They do this because they probably make more money off amex processed cards.
Sorry, didn't read your question closely enough.  If it's just an add-on I have no idea how they work that out.

I find it hard to believe the AA Amex will share the CL (as an add-on) with an AA Visa.

I'm pretty sure that's the offer I got

Keep in mind it is Citi's credit line the Visa and Amex are just 2 ways to process and access that credit

I'm aware of that, and I've seen the Citi add-an-Ame-and-get-1.2x-points offer before, but I imagine if two card types could share one account it would be more common...
