Why should I choose MilesGelt to sell my miles?
Answer:
You should choose MilesGelt, because we are mileage buyers - not brokers! We buy and use the miles ourselves, without having to sell them further, which translates into a better, safer, and more reliable experience for you the seller, and here's why:
1) We have the resources to pay you immediately, without having to wait for others to pay us, like brokers do.
2) We keep your information secure in-house, without having to share them with other unknown buyers, like brokers do.
3) We can deliver the kind of costumer service you deserve, because we don't have to rely upon other unknown parties, like brokers do.

The difference between Mileage Buyers vs. Mileage Brokers?
Answer:
In the travel/miles industry - as in any industry, there are brokers and there are direct buyers.  Buyers typically use the miles themselves, without having to sell them further, which translates into a better, safer, and more reliable experience for you the seller, and here are some of the reasons:
1) Buyers have the resources to pay you immediately, without having to wait for others to pay them, like brokers do.
2) Buyers keep your information secure in-house, without having to share them with other unknown buyers, like brokers do.
3) Buyers can deliver the kind of costumer service you deserve, because we don't have to rely upon other unknown parties, like brokers do.
At MilesGelt.com we are mileage buyers, not brokers!

thanks.
if a broker sells it to another buyer, why can't the seller go directly to the ultimate buyer and get more money?

In other words, they pay you and then sell them to the buyer, as apposed to them acting as the broker between you and the buyer. This way, its irrelevant to you if the points get sold or not, you get paid instantly, and your information stops with them.

The broker is the middleman that makes the shidduch.

Of course he can. The only difference is that a broker probably had more buyers than you do. The reason people do this is convenience and emptying big accounts in one shot. Buyers typically only need enough points to top off for a trip. Brokers often also sell to travel agencies, who charge customers $3000 more for a business class ticket when it only costs them 50,000 miles to upgrade.

You could do that. But do you know who the ultimate buyers are and do they know to get hold of you ? That's where a middleman comes in handy.

I think it's more risky selling to the guys that use them to sell tickets than to a broker. Brokers can always sell them - if they have to they can sell at cost, but the guys that book biz tickets for 2-3k can get the account shut down and lose all the money, and then may not be able to pay up. This is all theoretical.

This is more a reality... I sold miles to a broker who booked a first class tik and the flyer was denied boarding bec the ticket was made from a "fraud account"..  It happens every day....

The broker has less risk so he makes less money. The travel agent has more risk and makes more money. He can make thousnads off a first class ticket booked with aa miles. He can swallow the loss every so often when the customer is denied  boarding.  That's what business is about....

By that logic shouldn't you be advertising first class tickets in order to cut out the miles buyers themselves as well?

how does the customer receive the full mileage for his trip, if its only an upgrade?

Why do a need a broker when selling a house? Why don't I sell the house my self?
You can say what you think when you think what you say.
