LGA TSA / NYPD stopped for to many cc - friendly reminder

he wants to wear them on his neck at one of those  stupid frequent flier meetings  they hold and go to! i am not kidding. They wear necklaces and belts made with credit cards to show how one can do this get this or that!  There is even a pic of that man on  their blog site

I'm not really getting why someone would have 50 cards on him. It's just clutter.

+1 Who carries more than 4 or 5 cards at a time, especially if you're traveling?
50 cards?! You can't even fit that in a wallet! You must have had a box full of them. In which case, heck yeah you look suspicious!
We're you going on a special MS trip? That's the only plausible explanation I can think of.

Maybe it's part of the FOMO syndrome.  I carry tons just in case I need one of my grocery (5x) or office supply (5x) or etc CCs, plus bank entrance/ATM cards, rotating quarter cards, etc. etc. and for each of the family members! 

I can plan a bit better at home, but have been caught without the right one numerous times.  So FOMO it is for me, all the more so when traveling.

I carry a few extra cards in my laptop bag but I never took all my cards.

I once gotone of the many times I was searched by the Queenston-Lewiston border on my way into the States (I hate that bridge) they found someone else's card on me and they ran it through a system to see if it was marked as stolen of anything - when they asked me why I had it I said something about using it to card doors, they were literally flabbergasted.

Agreed, but easier than making a second trip and feels better than only getting 2.2x with

You can be OCD about anything but frankly if you live in fear of not having all your best cards on you that kind of defeats the purpose of having a hobby that allows you to enjoy free travel.

Agreed. It's not FOMO syndrome it's FOMO phobia.
