Virgin Atlantic NYC-LON in Y for 35k RT. Sometimes they have sales where it comes out just about 28k RT! In peak seasons when direct flights go for $1400+ this is a real bargain.

Chicago can be found cheap.. Not a steal IMO. You can say it about almost any AA route in the US

The ones just under 650 miles end up a very good value, such as bwi to ord.
