Via FT:"I'm on a PS flight right now and the crew had no idea. I'm responsible for some tears and serious devastation.Sad."
terrible news for those of us who live outside the tristate area
Why should the crew care?
Why?
The United Club and Global First Lounge at JFK T7, will close permanently on September 30th.
Any speculations on the future of T7 at JFK? Once United leaves, the already tiny terminal won't have much to stay open for. Most terminals are predominately occupied by a US airline1 - many European and Asian airlines2, 4 - DL5 - JetBlue7 - BA, Cathay etc8 - AA3,6 - not functionalIt doesn't sound right to me to keep a terminal open for a few flights a day by foreign carriers.ETA: Some speculations but not much.http://www.runwaygirlnetwork.com/2015/06/20/uniteds-abandonment-of-jfk-leaves-ba-opportunities-in-t7/
BA owes that terminal
Owes them how much?
100%
BA owns T7
It's a shame that the NYC terminals are so sub par compared to the rest of the modern countries out there.Even if T7 was torn down and rebuilt completely it would be a sub par terminal, because the US just can't get airports right.
At least we will have this http://edition.cnn.com/2015/07/20/travel/ark-luxury-pet-terminal-jfk-feat/
