They might only get paid for the miles for those people who keep the card for x days and pay the AF.

The AF part  warning by Alaska doesn't make any sense! It is just that if BOA doesn't receive the fee, BOA gets mad and reports to Alaska  to punish  you!
What about those who got their fee adjusted/waived by BOA?

Me personally, I paid $75×2 and then got statment credit $100 ×2 after spending 1k on each card....
Pretty easy and you get $50 in head!

Make sure it was in your offer when you applied.
I don't think all apps have this offer.

When I started with Bofa AS card, I was doing like you said. Then they started pulling this crap, about not seeing the offer on my account, and not giving me the $100 credit. It just got to frustrating, so then just started downgrading right after miles posted. .

No offense here. I was just saying what I think makes sense. Most of the times these kind of stories have something more to it.

Remember the UMPE Card thread when every other day a different hippy brought the breaking news that SMing to get the additional 20k points on churned cards is dead, some people even bothered opening new threads! And when I simply asked them if they applied with a new FF # or when they asked for the bonus, everything was clear.

Why can't they? It is an unpaid debt. I am pretty sure a CA can get your SS# without BOA helps.

your miles to book travel only for yourself, family members or non-family only
if you are traveling with them.  Miles/tickets may not be
sold/traded/brokered/etc.  Additionally, as your Signature Cards are still so
new it is worth noting that if award tickets are booked and it is discovered
that your annual fee(s) have not been paid, you will be billed for the full
purchase value of those tickets.  If that bill is not paid within 30 days, it

It sounds like a pretty ridiculous empty threat. How could they charge you for a flight after you booked with miles if you didnt go against any t&cs. Its not against the t&cs to downgrade within 30 days to get yhe af refunded.
And even if it was its hard to believe they can charge you for something you never agreed yo pay for
