Again, not sure what you don't understand here. I agree that the street knows about it from Dan, but since the street knew about it and MMS heard about this from 10 other people, he had the right posting it. Not that he did something smart, it was a stupid from him, well his whole blog is pretty stupid, but you can't say he violated etc.

Abuse leads to closing of loopholes. It's that simple. Doing 14BM and publicly flaunting it (at seminars, DO's, and other venues) will lead to things like this. It's that simple.

Remember the UMPE Card thread when every other day a different hippy brought the breaking news that SMing to get the additional 20k points on churned cards is dead, some people even bothered opening new threads! There was a post on this site by someone who said he didn't get his UME bonus matched to 50K by chase. The next day someone from chase called him and told him he won't get the bonus and later, he also had his United Mileage account shut down or something.
So I think over applying again and again is what Alaska didn't like. They hated seeing so many 20K and 5k bonus posted I guess

I only applied for 2 two months ago and 1 almost 2 yrs ago. I have booked awards already with my points.
They seem to be canceling awards already booked, read post # 17. That would really s**k if this happens to anyone!

Flaunting it in DO's isn't productive either. I know people boast about how many BM's they did with Alaska.
