Well if you flew and used the points then you have nothing to worry about.

Refunded becaise if you spent x within a certain timeframe, you got a credit (which eqialled the AF). It was part of the sign up bonus.

I beleive it was actually more ($100). Either way you are fine (from experience).

IIRC all the shutdowns had been a while back, in 1 period of time, all quiet since.

I had an account with multiple cards opened, and no annual fees paid, and recently booked/flew without issue.

That's a completely different issue, than the AF not being paid.

No one (besides maybe the top brass at Alaskan) can give you a good answer. There was speculation unthread that they are working very closely with BOFA to help combat the churning problem. I think someone mentioned that Alaskan wasn't paid unless the card was open for a certain time period And the AF was paid... Either way BOFA is definitely giving them full access to all your info (card open date/downgrade date/card closure/AF paid/AF waived). That's from personal experience. As much as Alaskan is running the investigation BOFA is doing their share of helping...

Its unknown, but they probably wont. but why would you close your account after paying it?
