Was just repeating what I was told, lots of poskim will give you a general p'sak like the one I quoted just to be on the safe side. If he was told the flight history, probability of delays, etc. it might have been a different answer. I was asking it as an extremely general question, hence the response I got.

I've cut it a lot closer than that.  As long as I'd be ok (a) staying in the departing city, and (b) walking home from airport in arriving city, I usually figure it's ok--but would not board it there was bad weather.

if im arriving into hnl on a Friday at the end of july at 1:18
is it safe to fly to maui? there is a flight at 1:58 and also the next flight at 4 which will arrive into maui 2 hrs before Shabbos.

I'm going from July 31st to Aug 9th
I have both flights on saver awards.
my flight leaves hnl Aug 9th at 7:25am with united
if I take a hawaiin airlines ticket with united miles that arrives into hnl at 6:42am.
do I have enough time for the transfer?
will united link both of my reservations together in which I wouldn't have to recheck my luggage ?

leaving phl 535am Friday morning.
landing in Houston for 2 hrs.
then land in hnl at 1:18pm
is this enough time?
