I'm sorry for giving a suggestion to help improve his business and customer experience. If he didn't ever want people's thoughts, he could add a new forum rule forbidding it.

You're more than welcome to post suggestions. Im sure Dan has Hakaras Hatov for you trying to help him. I would be very surprised to hear that he didn't PM you saying thank you.

All I said was that your suggestion was as far I can see not a good suggestion for his business because

Dan needs us to click his referral links in order to make a living. If there would be an option to sign up just for his awesome TRs and hot deals / price mistakes, then no one would follow the the other twitter account sending out all the Amazon and Ebay deals = no referrals.

And guys don't get me wrong, I get nervous from these hot eBay deals as much as you do. But that is part of being here. All other deal sites do the same thing. Check out sd and other sites, not sure what you want from Dan.

You guys seem to miss the main point, of course Dan started all this as a hobby, but forget about maintaining DD/DDF (that he obviously needs to support with his own money, of course... Since we all pay a monthly subscription) he needs to support his family the same way we all have to. And in order to do that he needs us to use he referrals. He can not just post for you price mistakes and maintain DD/DDF make sure that you guys get the most free stuff possible and his family should hunger.

I couldn't resist.

I believe I did trouble to Dan more than anyone else on this forum (and I'm quite proud of that - that makes me outstanding), but I still have my greatest appreciation to this man.

I can say he literally shaped my life the way I'm now head to toe into this hobby.

Its not only the advice, but the encouragement I got from networking on DDF which forced me to push the limits and earn more than the average US salary just by messing around in this game.
Not to count all the aspirational trips in first class & luxurious hotels.

As much as it annoys me the Amazon gold box deals (and OMFG, after a few days we really needed that gold box deal ROUNDUP) I understand he has all the right to do whatever he wants.

It's his farm and we're picking apples from his trees.
You don't like the way he planned the trees? Get the hell outta here and pay at the grocery.

I made a personalized dansdeals Twitter feed that stopped working.
But anyone with a small bit of knowledge can scrape the RSS feed and auto post on Twitter whenever it finds the words "Hot", "Hurry!" or "Quick!".  Really kinda simple.

I had a few programs that I used but they all were too slow, stopped working, or not able to filter properly.

I'm sure you all gained something from DD.

Not every deal you will get in on.
But every deal has SOMEONE buying.

The DD Twitter account is to alert about every deal.
Nobody is forcing you to follow it.

So you basically want Dan to work for you (and others) for free? Will you arrange the tea party before he has to marry of his kids?

You can filter out (on android at least) you can have specific words spammed. Such as amazon, josA bank, groupon... ext.

Otherwise a blacklist would need dozens of keywords and constantly be adding.
