I now noticed that I didn't do the spend on my amex hilton surpass which needed to be done 15 days ago, has anybody had success getting amex to extend the timeframe for the spend?

IME they're very tough with this stuff but I do know one case where it worked. However 15 days is a while-I had an issue also with a 2 week extension and they wouldn't do it.

try the card came late route... might have to be a manual adjustment though.. like a goodwill credit..

Yep I think that's the only way they can do it. They say the system won't allow them to actually give it under the name "signup bonus".

check for the date of your first charge on the card.

I have the same issue with a card that was under review for almost a month after I was approved. I asked for an extension to get the bonus and so far no luck.

I know 2 people who were told by amex (after HUCA several times) that its impossible to add all the points. Not too many people have reported back successfully on this issue. It must be super annoying.

I have the same with a chase card. Does this all apply to chase as well or are they easier with these things?

Hello

Very frustrated here

I received the card month and a half after signup, I called in and was specifically told that they would extend the time to qualify for the bonus. I wrote the guy's name and date down.

Needless to say, I did not receive the bonus.

I called - they say there is no record of my being told that, and they would never do that. Spoke to a supervisor, tried HUCA - same answer.

Any ideas???
