LOL, love working on IRROPs as well. I had 2 people scheduled LGA-YYZ for tonight in coach on AA, flight got canceled, called AA to reprotect them on a later flight JFK-YYZ, the rep said that there is only one seat available and asked me which passenger I was to reprotect... I said well, I am seeing inventory in first class, please protect the second pax in first class, they NEED to get to Toronto tonight, so she did, well now they are rebooked, an hour later that AA flight was canceled as well, called up AA again and asked them to rebook the 2 pax on AC, the rep said okay, but here there was only seats available in first class, and she said that since 1 pax is booked in economy they can not change the cabin, so I said well look what I spoke to a supervisor before and even though I was confirmed in coach she put me in first because there was no availability, she was shocked, she said "I am working here for 27 years, this is out policy we can not move you up a cabin" to make a long story short, she DID confirm the second pax in first class as well.... Now we are waiting to see what is gonna happen with the new flights.
