Amex Duplicate App

I applied today for the Delta and AMEX everyday cards.  The Delta card was approved.  The everyday card was flagged as a duplicate. They claim that they can only process the application after five days. Will this result in another pull? Maybe it is worth it to cancel the second application.  Anyone have any advice how to get this approved before five days elapses?

It will be a second pull. I once told them it's an emergency, and I need the card by Friday, and they made an exception. Try that.

I tried the emergency. They couldn't do anything. I cancelled the application.
