From a website I'm sure you don't like, but worthwhile to read anyways.
https://www.dailywire.com/news/author-of-new-wpath-guidelines-recommends-threatening-parents-with-call-to-child-protective-services
https://www.dailywire.com/news/virginia-republican-moves-to-ban-calling-misgendering-child-abuse-after-girl-is-kept-from-her-parents-for-it
https://www.dailywire.com/news/virginia-democrat-bill-would-criminally-prosecute-parents-who-dont-affirm-their-kids-as-transgender
I read the first one and there was no case where the child was taken away.

We have all made our points and this was not to be about if this was right or wrong. It was about the overreach of government.

Either way enjoy the rest of your day!!!  :)

BTW Matt Walsh's documentary "What is a Woman" covers this topic extensively, though he's very biased. Highly recommended.

Repost!  ;)

I don't really like Matt Walsh from Daily Wire, but his What is a Woman film has some good moments.

Something you need to ask yourself. Why would a loving parent take such drastic measures?
Here are a couple possibilities.
1 - They care for their child and are doing what they feel is best for that child.
2 - They don't care for their child and just want to see their child mutilated (term used over and over here).

3 - The left woke have lost their mind, have left the human specie-kind and become professional looking zambies with their own set of rules which has no resemblance to any other species we know. Amongst those set of rules is handing over innocent newborns to be raised by male molesters, since they don't recognize the need for any offspring to be raised under a females maternal tender love and care, the way other mammals recognize that. It might be difficult for us to comprehend how a parent can castrate or remove any other body parts of their kids, thus damaging them forever, but seemingly that's just another area we humans fail to understand the gruesome rules through which this wacko group operates.

In a normal world, like planet Earth was until not long ago, people committing such horrors were been sent to electric chair but now we parade them in the streets. Will we be parading cannibals in the streets in 10 years from now? Only time will tell.

The parallels between "Gender Affirming Care" and the use of lobotomies to "treat" all sorts of mental illnesses in the 50s are eerie...

All of the same arguments used to push sticking an ice pick through people's eye socket and scramble their brains are now being used to push transition.

One of the pioneers of the lobotomy got a Nobel prize for his work and another was elected president of the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology.

Same way a religious parent would prevent their kid from getting medical intervention if that's what they think their religion calls for, or various cultures throughout history sacrificed their children to their deities. Liberalism and all the isms are religions like all others, and religions make people do all sorts of things. If the prevailing thought process and philosophy in their circles is that this is what's best for the child, why wouldn't they do it?

On that note:  :)

A thread going in circles? Who woulda thunk?

It's deja vu all over again.

You are confusing parents basing their decision on medical professionals and parents basing their decision on cults.

A medical professional can tell my kid that he/she truly feels she was born in the wrong body? How do they know that?

If the government has to step in to protect 12 year-olds from abuse, that's overreach just because they set the bar at 18?

All cults are equal. Some are just more equal than others.

You can put labels on anything. I do not see a need for labels.
I trust decisions made by medical professionals over those made by cults. You are free to choose also.

Are medical professionals ever swayed or do they ever state opinions based on cultural and political atmospheric conditions?

Hallmark of a cult- Don't go off of evidence, trust me.
The medical professionals freely admit the lack of comprehensive evidence through studies for their position. This negates the trustworthiness of their professionalism. They're not gods.

They can be they but are like G-d in one sense. Even if they don't believe that is who they reach out to on their death bed.  ;)

Depends which medical professionals. There's not exactly a consensus amongst professionals in this area. There are plenty of doctors that would view gender affirming surgery to minors are a horrific crime. Do we view them as unquestionably right too, or are we going to start differentiating between medical professionals that share our views and those that don't (the way we tend to with religions)?
