With so much happening on DDF, there are likely many gems that you missed because you weren't following that specific thread. Well I say, "no more!" If you come across a post that you feel deserves a wider audience, whether it was very informative, funny, or deserving of being highlighted for any other reason, post it here.

A few proposed rules:

1) You cannot submit your own posts.
2) Provide necessary context.

4) Let the person know in the original thread they've been "Best Ofed"
5) This thread is only for DDF. One liners, articles, pictures and videos etc. from outside DDF all have their own threads already.

List of a few of them:

"Please only reply if you can actually answer the question and not litter the forum with useless Sarcastic banter." -Shnozolla
"Even a broken clock is right twice a day. You're the broken clock." -Baruch
"Sorry. Look at the bright side I just "bump"ed you" -NafNaf12
"I bribed the Guard $1 at the Anti-Corruption Unit to let me into the building - Just for the novelty." -Suave

Let me be the first to break rule #1.  :)

http://forums.dansdeals.com/index.php?topic=7518.msg1189398#msg1189398

You actually broke 4 out 5 rules. >:(

Do it like so:

Chaim Moskowitz shares a story about buying gift cards:

True story. I am buying GC's yesterday and there is a guy buying beer in a straw skirt and bikini top. I said to him let me guess you are either going to a Hawaiian party or celebrating the landmark decision. He replied no I am going to the Jimmy Buffett concert. Open mouth and insert foot.  :-[

Ok here's the first real one that abides by the rules.
Chaim Moskowitz, posting the first post on a new thread, breaks 4 out of the 5 rules, while claiming to break only 1.  ;D

Let me be the first to break rule #1.  :)

And OP good idea btw.

@ilherman correctly predicts the outcome of a Mileage Plus Account audit due to churning, with implications for all MP churners.

I think you'll be fine. Chase was in terrible pain that someone played around with them so they called up UA to take care of you since on their end they can not do anything, UA as a brother in law from Chase promptly suspended your account. I think that when UA will look into this matter they will see that you did not violate any T&C and they will reopen the account.
Final resolution.
1. Mileage plus send email that, I opened XX accounts. It should be only 1 account per customer. So I need to be careful with it. Can't keep on opening more accounts. No mention of churning of cards or anything ...
2. Merged both accounts and opened it back to me in my original account with larger miles. I can now use my miles.
3. Nothing done by chase, other than turning me in to mileage plus and making me go thru the hassle for last few weeks. All my cards are open. They never closed anything. I am now going to close some to churn few more cards.

In nutshell- no damage done, after all the drama. Churning continues.

@Something Fishy deserves to be Best Ofed 1000 times over for his 10 part TR, not least for the detailed, yet easy to read writing, helpfulness in answering follow up questions in the thread, and his <insert adjective here> photography. But then he had to go and add this MMS parody as the most delicious cherry on top:

Now that I've written a 10-part trip report, it's only fitting that I pay tribute to the giants who came before me. So in honor of the great inventor of splitting a TR into a Million Mediocre Sections, I present the final piece of my saga:

Conclusion and Blog GiveawayTM:

<Template 186>

My wife and I used our points and miles to plan a trip to Maui! We also used a price mistake!

We had heard that Maui rivals the beauty and splendor of Staten Island, so we planned a trip to decide for ourselves!

Maui is very pretty!

The highlight of our trip to Maui was seeing and doing all the things! Also Lanai!

We went to the beach. It was nice. The water was warm, but not warmer than you would expect. Also not colder than you would expect. There were lots of rocks.

ETA: I see yuneeq beat me to it. ;-)

Thanks! Though it's far from ironic - perhaps the opposite of ironic. (This comment belongs in the pet peeves thread)

That would work. Irony does not mean "neat/cool coincidence." Ironic would be me being against this thread, and then getting excited about having a post of mine added to it.

@Shoobi: sorry if it seems I'm bashing you when you were saying kind things about me, (how's that for irony?) but them be the rules of online discussion: Must. Be. Grammar. Nazi. Oh, and write in one word sentences.

@Something Fishy at it again. Here is is giving a photography lesson while critiquing Ergel's photos in his inimitable style.
Fantastic shot. A perfect example of capturing the moment; you've made a great image in hard conditions. The light is flat and boring, and focus missed the mountain goat and hit the background instead. Even so, the picture is extremely compelling. There's great movement (the goat's in mid leap), as well as tension (How high is he? Will he jump? Is there a cliff on the other side?). The background has a million interesting details to explore, making it a very interesting scene. The more I look at it the more details I discover - my eye goes from the initial "wow - look at that goat!" to more intricate details and observations...

Go read the rest of it.
