Best option for downloading kids movies/cartoons to a surface RT

I tried searching but nothing came up. The issue here is its a surface RT so the regular windows stuff wont work. I tried seeing if I could connect a dvd drive, it recognized  the drive but it needs a program to play it... any thoughts?

Try downloading a media player, like VLC 32-bit / 64-bit

Surface RT doesn't support regular windows programs. It needs to be a Metro / Modern app.
Additionally, you should never download VLC from sources other than the official site, since many of them have viruses..

I actually thought it's just another file upload site, but i see now it's for curated downloads. Funny that I never heard of it.
