I just sent the referal and it doesnt come up with the no annual fee offer. I tryed contacting Amex and they said they don't know what would happen if I applied through the referal. Has anyone found a way around this? Has anyone called Amex?

I am a Amex SPG cardholder and am trying to refer my dad & mom to this card. I sent them a referral through your website. Currently on the Amex website there is an offer to for the first year annual fee to be waived. However, in the email referral offer they received it does not mention the annual fee being waived. Obviously they prefer to have the fee waived. It seems a unfair for me to loose the referral bonus because the current offer is not available through the referral.
I have been a customer of American Express in the US & Canada for a couple of years and really appreciate your excellent customer service. Your representative are significantly more informed and helpful then your competition. The hold time waiting for a rep is dramatically shorter. I hope you will find a way around this technical issue, and continue you to provide your customers with excellent customer service.
