Have you had experience?

I have no experience.

I would imagine your correct but theres nothing like actual empirical evidence.

Agreed.

My mother has both an American and Canadian Starwood Amex, but she has an address in the US as well.

I have an American address as well. Without one I dont think you would be able to get the card origunally.
I am sometimes accused of overthinking things. I am still mulling over whether that accusation has merit.

CMIIW, but I don't think you can have an (active) US credit card with a foreign address as the primary billing address.

So what's the issue?  How do they even know for sure that you are the same person?

Has anyone had experience having both a Canadian and US Amex card of the same type. Do they give you any problems?

So I guess the answer appears to be no problem.

Just good idea to be cautious with Amex cuz of financial review and stuff.

My mother actually got FR'ed on her American Amex and they accepted Canadian tax returns as proof.

Do her points go to one SPG account or two?

Don't think it was anything specific - maybe last name - I got financial reviewed at the same time.  It was about a year ago and they were doing a lot of FR's.

Has anyone tried combining Canadian and US SPG accounts? Obviously I wouldn't suggest it b4 all bonus points post.

Ummm. I wouldn't.

I have separate addresses. Firstly, as I spend time in both countries it may be fully legitimate to have two Starwood accounts. Even if not, SPG is a separate entity. Thirdly, I could have recently moved
