I am looking to build credit in the US while living in Canada I have a SSN and a US address can someone please post clear instructions how to do that? I don't wanna do a global transfer because I still want my Canadian card, unless I can do a transfer on just one card business/personal. Please advise.
I don't believe they actually transfer your credit. Putpac and see what the details of global transfer

I would start from scratch like any American. I.e store or secured credit card, and than apply for more decent cards in a year
Have any credit cards you would advise? Not a student.

mordechain and Ergel thanks for your help. I was aware I can do it by going thru the regular process. My question was about how I can do it without going thru a lengthy process, which I understand there is a way (TD/Amex) I have tried these ways and haven't been successful (yet). I am reaching out here to see if there is someone that did have success getting an american card.

Whats the problem? For address you can use yours, or any US address where you can receive mail. Everything else is treated the same as any american. He could spend in CA but most cards charge a forex fee.

Does canadian AMEX have same AF policy as US amex?
I'm referring to AF refund if canceled within 60 days.

Yes, and if you cancel after 60 days, they pro-rate it

Hows the BMO Rewards center compare with Orbitz or Kayak? Do they have the same general availability?

When was the last time Amex Canada had bonus to BA? Any reason to expect promo any time soon?
I am sometimes accused of overthinking things. I am still mulling over whether that accusation has merit.

When I signed up for the SPG about 2 years ago, I cancelled it after 3 months and I got a credit.
