Their portfolio has been acquired by Scotiabank
the Amazon credit card is no longer offered to NEW applicants in Canada as of April 3rd, 2017

The Marriott still is https://www.marriottpremier.ca/?JOBNUM=VMR1207097&GR_CHASE_marriotrewardsPremier

Other option is Rogers bank mastercard or fido 4% cash back on all foreign purchases

Thanks. I also came across Home Capital visa that shows no fee for foreign transactions on the info page - even though it isn't advertising it as a feature

The problem with the Rogers card is that it does charge 2.5%and the cash back is just credit for Rogers products so if you don't use Rogers it doesn't work

IIRC it can also be redeemed as a statement credit

I have a good credit score in the US and I'm thinking of applying for US cards with good bonuses that have a zero foreign transaction fee and I will use the card here in Canada. Anyone thought of this? or is doing this? If yes, did you run into any trouble?

The card is not intended to be used only for foreign transactions.

I wouldn't be too sure. Credit card companies do not like to be messed around with.
