There's a discount on Kindle Unlimited today, and apparently if you used turbotax 2014 with amazon and opted for partial refund credit in amazon dollars, you get a 30% off Kindle unlimited offer in your account. I was wondering if anyone has that this isn't using it or likely to use it. It would make 24 months of kindle unlimited $72 .

I'd offer $80 paid for a purchase and subsequent e-mail of a kindle unlimited 24 month code. PM ASAP.

I purchased a 3-pack of $15 Amazon gift cards a little past midnight and got the "it has shipped" email about 2.5 hours ago. I read somewhere that the email with $10 statement credit comes immediately afterward but I haven't received mine. Have you guys gotten the email with the promo code yet? How long after the gift card was shipped?

Is the camera a good deal?  I got it. Usually for expensive purchases i like doing my research but didn't have time for that today.
It seems like it's only $69 less then usual.
I used amazon gift cards that i got with the smart and final deal so it's technically 50% off on top of the sale price.  I just want to make sure the sale is a god price and not just hype

The camera was actually the one thing I was looking to buy today. The Sony Alpha series is the best out there for anyone not a professional photographer whose looking to spend a few K on it, as discussed in the photography thread. The a3000 is slightly outdated by the newer models, but the $69 off is real, unlike some deals that the price was hiked up to make the sale the regular price.

Promo credits usually show up during checkout, no need to put in a code.
Add something to your cart and go to checkout page, should be there.

Here's the thing-- I signed up for the $10 promo discount by using a Citi card, but it didn't go through. I contacted Amazon, and the rep emailed me that she would put a $10 credit that would show up with my next purchase sold and fulfilled by Amazon. My next purchase was the gift cards, but those weren't sold and fulfilled by Amazon, but the one I made shortly after that was. I got a $10 credit, but I assumed that was from the Citi deal. I tried making another $10 purchase, and there are no more promo codes. So either the $10 credit was from the $45 gift cards and the Citi one fell through, or the credit was from Citi promo and the gift card credit still hasn't arrived yet.

Last week a rep told me they were putting $10 promo in my account for something but they never did it. Next rep didn't want to give me anything. My point: Even though they say they'll add credit, doesn't mean they will. Always ask them to email you an email saying they'll apply credit.

I have a theory that most of the deals are form 3rd party sellers, not from amazon themselves. That's why the quantities and discounts were so small.

It could be that you are right but keep in mind that the sellers requirement to join was that the deal value was 5000$ so unless it was a very expensive item they did need to have quite a bit of stock for it

I believe the quantity Amazon required was 2000 units (literally, they wouldn't accept an order of 1,987)

Either way, that was a big face flop. Once they created the hype, they needed to do whatever it took to live up to it.
