Total cost of BA F TLV-JFK are 80k + $271. Has this always been the case (YQ would be 0 at that price, right?)? Not a bad redemption IMO, especially since availability in advance is pretty good.

Edit: works only for ex-TLV with <24hr connection. You probably could add a leg on AS later on for free.
Heck of a find.
271 is more than just taxes.
Can you see a breakdown of the fare?

Interesting. I wonder how that $114 is being calculated.

Even when doing a stopover in LHR, the price for the 'carrier surcharge' doesn't increase, but the UK tax of around $115 is tacked on.
Regular US-LHR flights still showing the higher fee.

Can I book DXB-AMM with AS ? If so, can I combine NYC-DXB-AMM one way, onto one award booking, or does it have to be 2 separate tickets ?

When I try searching the DXB-AMM route, AS shows no availability. NYC-DXB is available.
Can I book the first leg, and then when the second leg opens up, add that on to the reservation, or will it be a totally separate ticket ?

Can't you change until 60 days out? Or is that only dates and not new destination?

It's less then 60 days before the flights. So I guess I'll have to pay the fee.

You need to search DXB-AMM together with JFK-DXB, or use EF to search it. AS won't show DXB-AMM because it doesn't touch USA.

I tried EF too. I tried DXB-AMM itself, and JFK-AMM connecting through DXB. Both got this message,
"A flight may only be returned by Emirates if it has an Award class that has availability greater then zero. Click here for more information. For the most accurate Emirates Award results search for the entire trip, not segment by segment." Im assuming that means there is no availability.

For DXB-AMM, search D class as well.

For changing class of service on an award booking (more than 60 days out), will you just pay the difference in taxes from the lower class, or you'll need to pay the entire thing?
