Anyone transfer VX points to Alaska and not have it post right away? How long is the expected wait time?

Besides for VX & SPG what are my options for transfering points to Alaska Miles. I know i can transfer SPG and Virgin at 1.25 and 1.3 respectively. Are there other transfers?

Perhaps i can transfer from somewhere to Virgin and then from Virgin to Alaskan?

Does Alaska give you miles on accounts open after you've flown?

Can someone help me explain the idea behind Alaska allowing for a free stopover on one-way awards! I am looking to book a return ticket with Alaska on CX. HKG - > JFK for 50k in Business. What is the free stop over idea?

I'm not sure exactly what you're question is, that is a direct flight, where would you stop over?

Assume availability, you can do stop over in NY, and get an add-on onward ticket JFK-somewhere else in U.S.

Someone CMIIW but I think you'd have to route via the pacific if you wanted to end the flight in the west coast.

Do alaska airlines expire anymore? It says in my account that I have x amount of miles and that "There are no expiring funds in your wallet."

TIA

Can I book flights with Alaska miles JFK-LAX on VX in "First" and LAX-LAS on AA in Economy on the same ticket, meaning using LAX as my stopover for a few days? Or is the mix of airlines and or the mix of cabins an issue?

I received an email from Virgin America that my miles are expiring soon. They mention option of transferring to Alaskan. Would transferring one point be activity, and thereby avoid expiration?
I am sometimes accused of overthinking things. I am still mulling over whether that accusation has merit.

If they allow a minimum of 1 mile or point transfer then definitely yes .
