Alaska nearly double rates on close in American awards

Alaska now charge for American business 45k for close in awards. Phx to NYC today all 3 flights were available at that rate. Up from the flat rate 25k it used to be.

Does Alaska have free award redeposit on no AS tickets? and until when can you cancel?
(when I booked it said something about $12 redeposit fee per person)

How long does it take for points earned from CC to post?

CC closing was March 13th, miles not showing in account yet.

They should get a good bank transfer partner.

I like that they will charge premium economy prices for non lie flat business class seats. Was always annoyed about that. I wonder how smoothly that would work. I guess it would only work on airlines that don't have lie flat at all.

Seems to me that LY to/from NYC is indeed going down from 85-100k to 70k in J (35k in Y, 45k premium).

Although it says "starting at", in the T&C they clarify:
"Miles shown reflect starting at prices and are for informational purposes only. Itineraries including multiple segments and/or access to additional inventory may price at higher levels."

Is this too good to be true?
