Yes as long as you're on the same reservation her benefit goes on to you when flying AA, if you're flying Alaska then the American card doesn't give her free luggage, you have to pay

Alaska is showing a few options on first class with AA but is giving me an error after checkout that they couldn't confirm this ticket with the partner... I chatted with them and they were non committal and just said probably aa doesn't have space... When I asked why it's showing on they're search and it's a few options over a few days they just responded the same thing. Any tips? Or do I give up on getting these tickets.

Does Alaska charge to change partner award flights? I want to change to an earlier flight that opened up but when I try to change it online I get this message
"This request is only available for flights between Alaska Airlines cities. One or more of the cities you have selected is not serviced by Alaska Airlines."

I know I could just cancel and rebook but if I can do it for free that's even better

Try to chat with them and simply ask to book a new reservation, and see it they find it

How did you book? On a mobile device? App? Broswer? I've had one way work while the other not.
