Tv screen slideshow
« on: July 01, 2015, 07:36:51 PM »
I wish to make a slideshow on a tv screen like they have in restaurants. How do I hook one up not to show what the computers screen is showing but show its own thing while I can do whatever I want on the computer? I decided this was way to complicated to Google, so if you hahave a link to a website which shows how to do this that will also be appreciated. Tia!
I'm not who you think I am.

Many TV's have a USB slot. Make sure the pics are in the right format on a usb drive and then it will play as a slide show. Does that work?
Another option is to set it up as a 2nd screen to your computer (not duplicate/mirror screen rather extended).

Another option if you don't want to buy a chromecast: Connect the TV as an external display, press windows key+p, and click extend. Open your slideshow and place it on your secondary monitor (tv). Now you can do whatever you want on your primary computer monitor and keep the slideshow running on the TV.
