Has anyone been to Galitzky in St. Moritz in recent years? What are your thoughts, dining food etc. Anyone has done that in comparison to KMR. I Have done KMR before and I am looking to match that standard, Alpen-Kawanserai in Austria is full for the dates I would like to go any other suggestions.

non of these hotels come close to the american fress that KMR delivers. its very different, get the expectations in line lol

Why not tour plus in Wengen? they easily match KMR. If you are looking in the area of Alpen-Kawanserai, then you can consider Victoria hotel in Kaprun

agreed on the hotel but -1 on the food in some of those hotels. I know you were in Arosa so you probably have your outlook from there  ;)

A pity, it's 4401 miles, just short of BA's 4.5k o/w short-haul.

If you're flying coach, then rev might be cheaper. I  booked someone one-way NAP-JFK for < $300 a few weeks ago.

It depends where in Europe, that's besides that KMR themselves has some programs in EU.

It is true that KMR (which is very overpriced IMO) gives a lot of good food in beautiful hotels but outside of the hotel? nothing major. When someone wants a luxurious getaway with good food it makes sense to go with KMR to Colorado etc.

However, most of us (i think) want to go to a destination to experience that place not the hotel and food. And last but not Least i have experienced in Wengen (tour plus) better food then KMR in Palm Springs.

yes they are very overpriced but they cater to the rich crowd. those people want to sit & get fed until they cant stand up. thats what KMR specializes in. Banff, Vail arent nice destinations?? Maybe not compared to Swiss but still its from the best north america has to offer

Agreed. But don't discriminate against EU... they also have a few hotels like that

quite true, but you have to understand the difference for a european its an hour or two flight so its not such a big deal if the food us not out of this world its like new yielded going upstate or somewhere an hour or 2 away then you don't expected the greatest. thats my opinion

I was by pessach programm of galitzky and was very disapointed
His hotel is in maloja and not st. Moritz, that's about a 15 minute drive. Really a bad marketing lie!

Wengen has stunning views and the host is known to be good

I don't think you will get 'kmr' food anywere in the alps, as people don't go for that to the alps, so no one wants to do it and charge the price tag, that comes with it

Both of those are 3 star hotels as opposed to KMR.

Pretty much every kosher European program lies in their ads. Its almost accepted by them...

Netzer now owns his own hotel which is open all year. http://www.mykosherhotel.it/en/index.php
It's not a five star hotel but it's fairly nice from what I hear. Although it's pretty difficult to get to it's gonna be at least 2 ground hours after you land potentially more.
I've been looking for a kosher 5 star option this summer now that it seems KMR won't be doing anything this August.
Although I haven't come up with anything yet.
Clarified with a friend who was there. Was really disappointed. All he said was it was very Israeli style, the food etc. A lot of Israelis where there, it felt very cheap...
You can say what you think when you think what you say.
