Seems like a good portion of 7-11's, auto. refund the transaction, if it's over 1k.
Multiple stores that I've tried 1k, the transaction shows up on my card, and then right after as a credit.
Only when buying $500 do they go though, although when I then try another $500, even with a diff. cc, the same issue occurs.

Over 1k for transaction or including fee? I have def. got 2 in one transaction, I can try three and report back. It may take some time though to find a location with 3 .

2 ppmc cards, $500 on each, plus 7.90 in fees, total 1,007.90.

Is that the amount that didn't work for you? $1007.90 and $1009.90 worked for me...

I've purchase from 7-11 a $500 VGC,  and then several minutes later another $500 VGC with another CC.

First CC was declined so I used an alternate.   Then responded to the text that it was a legit charge and used the original CC for the 2nd purchase.

I used to be able to get several $500 cards back to back (never tried two in one transaction)  This has gotten increasingly difficult.  I don't believe it's chain wide yet.  A couple weeks ago I bought 4-5 back to back on a single CC and it worked.

IME Chase flags big 7-11 purchases because lets be honest- who the heck spends a few hundred dollars at 7-11?!?!?

That happens too but I'm talking about a velocity limit imposed by 7-Eleven's registers

The problem I've been having isn't blocked charges, it's been auto. refunds.
Unless that's from Chase as well, although I highly doubt that

That's what didn't work by me.
Tried it at multiple stores.
Did a TARB run. 1511.85 did not go through, but splitting into 503.95, and 1007.90 did work.

I've bought $503.95, and it went through, but everything I tried afterwards got auto refunded.
Whole thing makes no sense.

Could point to some stores having updated registers and others not

Then why would the first transaction work, and the second transaction not ?

New registers are programmed for some velocity limit and the old ones aren't?

When you say $1511.85 didn't go through, did the charge get declined, or did it go through, and then get refunded ?

Makes sense, bec. all the issues I had was where I was buying a total over 1k within a short period of time.
Waiting to hear what exactly happened to Barryg
