Well,  maybe ChaimMoskowitz can enlighten us.

Nothing to enlighten.  Old Amex Blue gives 5%. Net of "costs," it's 4%, unless (as you seemingly suggested) you don't have (as many?) costs because you buy some portion $50K Amazon+Ebay+Gas.

I think CM was editing out the "up to 50k" piece - which I'm surprised by b/c I thought that version was dead.

People still have the older version without the T&C's.

I'm not at all referring to what CM did or didn't say. I'm simply referring to the 4% v. 5% comments by ttlmmky1 and lunatic.

Well if you're going to say any spend then it would really have to be closer to 4%.  VGC liquidation fees and all.
Not necessarily... Buy gas cards,  and other store gc with no fee.  Buy Amazon and ebay cards....
You spend 50k a year on Amazon+gas+eBay??
No.... I mostly buy vgc..

Rereading his comment, I think he just meant that we would gladly take any and all 5% spend no  matter where we can get it.   That's certainly the case!

He can CMIIW, but i think he was say "5%" in general, and not pure profit.

I thought that was pretty simple.

I have 136,299 AMEX Membership Rewards Points (blue points). No idea where to get the best value on them. Is it products? Is it airlines?

Anyone have some advice.

Not sure the best place to post this. If this isn't it, I can re-post somewhere else.
