8/16.  Never been there before but I don't think they charge just to attend.  From what I understand you can go around and buy a lot of great BBQ.

Mendel is the only one that sells any BBQ.  Need to be there super early to get his best stuff like burnt ends.

Getting BBQ from the rest of the teams is obtained by walking around and groveling for it. Or being a judge :)

Oh so it sounds like it's not really worth attending if not a competitor or a judge?  I was dreaming of spending the day buying a little bit from each place...

I don't know of any competition like that.
