Hey guys,

I'm planning on going to Crotia next week, mainly Dubrovnik but maybe zagreb and other places too. any tips? any idea what type of country is it, Like Italy or like Albania?

Also, if you've been to Bosnia or Montenegro you're welcome to share about these places too.

Dubrovnik is awesome. The wall walk is really nice, and there are a lot of great crafts and things to buy in the old city. I vaguely recall seeing people kayaking outside the walls. Taxis were cheap too.

gonna be near Plitvichka Jezara National Park. its near the top of my European bucket list

It's very interesting that almost no one on DDF ever came to Dubrovnik. It's one of the top tourist cities in the world, gorgeous old city, beautiful sea, tons of stuff to visit and do (one of the big thing is game of thrones but I don't watch movies so it doesn't interest me) and tons of tourists...

as it turns out, i was going to go this summer; couldnt figure out how to make it work though

still on my short list of places to go

What couldn't you figure out?

Actually a little disclaimer, many of the guys over tend to be very cheap so if this is the type of person you're, better not come here as EVERYTHING is expensive. But if you enjoy to hang out with people of a little higher class than it's amazing (not everyone here is a billionaire, but most people are more like middle class)

I am going to Croatia later in the month with my husband and I wonder if you have advice for us in regards to the must sees and if there is anyway to get some kosher food?

I know that this is very late

but yes I did go there and it was insanely gorgeous! really breath taking and amazing! though the main areas were packed with people, after we went a little further we found some quiet places and really enjoyed.

Anyone have any recommendations for Croatia? planning on going for my honeymoon to Dubrovnik (3 days) and Split (4 days) and make day trips to the national parks. Is Mostar worth going to as we make our way from Dubrovnik and Split? We'll have a rental car to provide a little more freedom with traveling.

Mostar is definitely worth it and a car is also a very good idea

Can't tell you about day trips but Split itself is not more than a day. Look into Hvar

Yeah wasn't planning on more than a day in Split itself. Using it as a jumping point to go to Plitvice lakes and Paklenica National Park for a day each. Thinking about a blue cave tour including Hvar of some sort-any recommendations for a good tour company?

No, sorry. Hvar is beach clubs and nightlife (general matzav). Don't think there's any point in going for a few hours daytime.

IIRC blue cave can be done on the way between Hvar and Split, at least if you charter a private boat
