I still doubt that means anything. The move here is to ask them not to refund the money, even though they won't give the gc. And if you got more than 50, maybe ask for a $50 gc +

I don't mean to burst your balloon, but I can't imagine Amex would give the credit unless the charge changes from pending to posted.

I had done the $10 gift cards the first day of the promo, and they all showed up as pending for $1.01, then were cancelled. None of them filled.
